Disport is a member organisation of the Yorkshire based charity, The Federation of Disability Sports Organisations. Disport is the member organisation that represents people with a Learning Disability. Disport has its own committee, made up of representatives from schools, colleges and adult training centres which cater for people with a learning disability; plus retired members, who have a wealth of experience in sports development, and/or learning disability.

Deaf Sport in Yorkshire
With the instability of the Yorkshire Deaf Sport Council, the YDSC review has been taking a fresh look at what the future holds. Now sports specific structure is taking a strategic approach.

 

British Blind Sport Advisory Group - Yorkshire The Blind Sport Advisory Group (BSAG) was formed in 1996 and meet approximately every 3 months. Their purpose is to provide a lead position on priorities each year for the Regional Resource Officer, and encourage participation within blind sport for the Yorkshire region. We are actively seeking new members and would like to hear from anyone who would like to help direct blind sport in Yorkshire.

Disability Sport Events - Yorkshire DSE Yorkshire represent predominantly people with a physical disability. It is a member organisation of the Yorkshire charity, The Federation of Disability Sports Organisations. A Committee of eight members, made up of representatives from throughout the county.
